Visible Learning
Visible Learning enables teachers to be explicit and transparent with students about why they are learning what they are learning, how it will be of use and benefit to them, and exactly how they can be successful and improve. Instead of completing tests or assignments for assessment, our students work through a flexible series of success criteria that cater for different abilities. With teacher support, the success criteria clearly communicates how the student can be successful in each task and can help them to decide whether they have achieved the knowledge, understanding and skills required in the unit. Anchor charts provide students with examples of completed tasks and support materials. Students receive extensive and detailed feedforward from teachers and their peers on how to improve before the final assessment. Parents remain engaged in their child’s learning as they have digital access to work samples and the feedforward provided by teachers and peers.
